COPYRIGHT POLICY

BioMarifa (BMF) – International Journal


1. Copyright Ownership: Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the work in all formats and media. Copyright remains with the author(s), while the journal retains the right of first publication.


2. Open Access and Licensing: BM is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available immediately after publication.

Articles are published under a Creative Commons license (e.g., CC BY), allowing use, distribution, and reproduction with proper citation.

The applicable license will be stated in each article.


3. Author Rights: Authors may:

  • Use their work for teaching and research
  • Share articles on personal or institutional platforms
  • Include the work in theses or future publications
  • Reuse figures or tables with proper citation
  • No permission from the journal is required for these uses.


4. Journal Rights: The journal may:

  • Publish and distribute the article in all formats
  • Archive content in databases and repositories
  • Promote the article for academic purposes
  • Identify itself as the original publisher


5. Author Responsibilities: Authors must ensure that:

  • The work is original and unpublished
  • It does not infringe any copyright or intellectual property
  • Permissions are obtained for third-party materials
  • Proper citations are provided
  • Authors are responsible for any legal issues.


6. Third-Party Material

Permission must be obtained for any non-original content before publication.

Proper acknowledgment must be included.


7. Copyright Agreement: All authors must sign a copyright or license agreement before publication, confirming:

  • Agreement with journal policies
  • Consent of all co-authors
  • Failure to submit may delay publication.


8. Reuse by Third Parties: Articles may be reused under the Creative Commons license if:

  • Authors are properly credited
  • The journal is acknowledged
  • Content integrity is maintained
  • Changes are clearly indicated


9. Corrections and Retractions: The journal may issue corrections or retractions in cases of ethical issues or errors, following COPE guidelines.
