Scope

BioMarifa (BMF) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by BioMarifa Scientific Publications (BSP). The journal provides a global platform for the publication of high-quality original research, reviews, and other scholarly articles that advance the biological, biomedical, clinical, and health sciences. It welcomes experimental, clinical, translational, computational, and data-driven research that contributes to scientific discovery and improves healthcare outcomes.

The journal covers a broad range of disciplines, including Molecular Biology; Cell Biology; Genetics and Genomics; Microbiology; Cancer Biology and Oncology; Neurosciences; Medical and Health Sciences; Biomedical Sciences; Biotechnology; Pharmaceutical Sciences; Bioinformatics; Computational Biology; Systems Biology; Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare; Precision and Personalized Medicine; Proteomics, Clinical and Translational Research; Public Health; Environmental and One Health Sciences; Immunology; Infectious Diseases; and Regenerative Medicine. BioMarifa particularly encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates biological sciences with emerging technologies to advance biomedical research, healthcare, and global health.

GENERAL POLICY

Originality

Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.

Language

Submissions must be written in clear English (British or American style, used consistently throughout the manuscript).

Nomenclature

Use standard scientific nomenclature and ensure proper identification of all biological materials.

Ethics

All human and animal studies must include documented ethical approval and, where applicable, informed consent.

Conflicts of Interest and Funding

All potential conflicts of interest and funding sources must be fully disclosed.

Authorship

Changes to authorship are permitted only before the proofing stage and require written consent from all authors.

Copyright

A signed copyright agreement is required before publication.

Open Access and Publication Fees

All articles are freely accessible upon publication. Any applicable publication charges will be invoiced only after acceptance.

ARTICLE TYPES

Original Articles

Comprehensive research papers presenting original findings, methodologies, data analysis, and interpretation.
Suitable for empirical, experimental, qualitative, or mixed-method studies.
Word Limit: Up to 7,000 words

Short Communications

Brief reports highlighting preliminary findings, innovative methods, pilot studies, or emerging concepts.
Focused on concise and rapid dissemination of important research outcomes.
Word Limit: Up to 5,000 words

Review Articles

Detailed critical evaluations and syntheses of existing literature on a specific topic.
Intended to provide theoretical insights, research trends, gaps, and future directions.
Word Limit: Up to 8,000 words

Systematic Reviews / Meta-Analyses

Structured and evidence-based reviews conducted according to recognized protocols such as PRISMA guidelines.
Include systematic data collection, screening, quality assessment, and statistical/meta-analytic interpretation where applicable.
Word Limit: Up to 8,000 words while maintaining PRISMA standards.

Mini-Reviews

Concise, focused reviews addressing recent developments, emerging themes, or specialized subtopics within a research area.
Designed to provide quick scholarly insight with targeted discussion.
Word Limit: Up to 4,000 words

Letters / Commentaries

Scholarly opinions, critiques, responses to published articles, or discussions on contemporary academic issues.
Encourages academic dialogue, debate, and perspective sharing.
Word Limit: Up to 3,500 words

Line spacing: Double-spaced
Column layout: Single-column
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

Manuscripts should follow this order:

Abstract

Maximum 250 words

Style

Use SI units throughout
Define all abbreviations at first use

Tables and Figures

Number consecutively in the order of their appearance
Place after the References section

References

Vancouver referencing style is a numeric citation system used mainly in medical and scientific research. It follows guidelines by ICMJE. References are cited using numbers and listed in order of appearance.

IN-TEXT CITATION

• Use numbers in sequence

• Superscript or bracket format allowed

• Example: [1], [2,3]

• Same number reused for repeated citation

REFERENCE LIST RULES

• Numerical order

• No alphabetical sorting

• Minimal punctuation

• Journal names abbreviated

JOURNAL ARTICLE FORMAT

Format:

Author(s). Title. Journal. Year; Volume(Issue): Pages.

Example:

BOOK FORMAT

IMPORTANT RULES

• Use 'et al.' after 2 authors

• Do not use 'and'

• Follow PubMed abbreviations

• Use consistent formatting

SUBMISSION

Submit manuscripts through the online submission system and include the following:

A cover letter
An editable manuscript file (Microsoft Word or LaTeX)
Separate files for tables and figures

All correspondence will be conducted via email.

PEER REVIEW

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The Editor makes final editorial decisions.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY

Authors may use AI tools for language editing or data analysis, provided that such use is fully disclosed. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all content.
