BioMarifa (BMF) – International Journal
a) Ethical Standards: BMF follows international publication ethics guidelines, including COPE and ICMJE. All authors, editors, and reviewers must adhere to these standards.
b) Responsibilities of Authors:
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data falsification are strictly prohibited.
- Authorship: Only contributors with significant intellectual input should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final manuscript.
- Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for data accuracy and should provide data if requested. Data sharing is encouraged.
- Ethical Approval: Human and animal studies must include ethical approval and informed consent.
- Conflicts of Interest: All financial or personal conflicts must be disclosed.
- AI Use: Use of AI tools must be clearly disclosed. Authors remain responsible for all content.
c)Responsibilities of Editors:
- Editorial Decisions: Editors evaluate manuscripts based on merit, originality, and relevance.
- Confidentiality: All submissions must be treated as confidential.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must avoid handling manuscripts where conflicts exist.
- Ethical Oversight: Editors handle misconduct cases following COPE guidelines.
d) Responsibilities of Reviewers:
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts must not be shared or used for personal benefit.
- Objectivity: Reviews must be fair, constructive, and timely.
- Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must declare conflicts and decline if necessary.
- Ethical Concerns: Any suspected misconduct should be reported to the editor.
e) Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality.
f) Misconduct Handling:
- Investigation: All allegations are investigated fairly.
- Actions: Confirmed misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of institutions.
g) Corrections and Retractions: The journal may issue corrections or retractions to maintain scientific integrity.
h) Appeals and Complaints: Authors may appeal decisions or submit complaints. These will be handled transparently.
i) Advertising Policy: Editorial decisions are independent of advertising or commercial interests.
j) Disclaimer: The views expressed are those of the authors. The journal is not responsible for consequences arising from published content.
